On July 13, 2005, LPD gave permission for shows to be hosted at the Archive, with Limitations as outlined below. For instance, each upload must be approved by band rep Lisa Amend:
The Legendary Pink Dots still prefer the tried-and-true
method of swapping actual tapes and CDs, but in this,
the age of technology - and in certain situations -
they are open to allowing live recordings of their
performances to be distributed online.
Please note, however, that no money is to change hands
for these recordings. We prefer that the performances
are not hosted on personal servers or websites. We also
ask that you do not share these performances through
P2P networks such as kazaa or soulseek. Under no
circumstances will we allow any
readily-available-for-purchase material, studio or
otherwise, to be distributed through this network.
Curators: Please note that due to LPDs extensive
catalogue, which includes commercially-relased live
material, all submissions *must* be approved by the
band's representative prior to being made available for
public download.
